Kurdistan Region to construct a second oil pipeline to Turkey

Erbil (NINA) – Kurdistan Region announced its intention to construct a second oil pipeline to Turkey with a daily capacity of one million barrels a day.
In a conference on the Oil Sector being held in Istanbul, Turkey, the Region's Minister of Natural Resources, Ashti Hawrami, said on Thursday, Oct. 31, that the Region intends to construct, within 18 months to 2 years, a second oil pipeline to Turkey, with a capacity of one million barrels a day.
He added that the Region will measure its oil exports independently from the Federal Government, once the new oil pipeline gets into work.
He added that being connected with Baghdad's measuring station make the Region looses thousands of oil barrels a day, such days are gone now. / End
