Interior Undersecretary, Serbia's Ambassador discuss issues of common interest

Baghdad (NINA) – Senior Interior Undersecretary, Adnan al-Asadi, discussed on Friday, Nov. 8, with Serbia's Ambassador to Iraq, Radisav Peitrovig, a number of issues of common interest.
A statement issued on Friday, Nov. 8, by the Interior Ministry's Media Bureau, said that in the meeting, Asadi stressed the importance of developing Iraq's relations with friendly countries that would have positive effects on the peoples' interests.
For his part, Ambassador Peitrovig asserted his country's support to Iraq's efforts in combating terrorism and to realize security throughout the country.
On the other hand, Asadi discussed with Head of the International Red Cross Mission (ICRC) in Iraq, Patrick Yousif, a number of issues between the Ministry of Interior and the International Red Cross Mission.
A statement issued the Interior Ministry's Media Bureau, said that in the meeting, Asadi stressed Iraq's serious and sincere cooperation with international organizations; and the Ministry's readiness to facilitate the works of International humanitarian organizations.
For his part, the Head of ICRC in Iraq praised the Interior Ministry's cooperation. / End.
