Nijaifi arrives in Pakistan on 4-day visit

Baghdad (Forat) –The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, arrived in Islamabad on a 4-day official visit to Pakistan.
A statement received by Alforat News Agency (Forat) cited "The Speaker of Pakistan National Assembly and a number of officials welcomed Nijaifi," noting that "The two sides discussed the relations between Iraq and Pakistan and means to consolidate them in the interest of the people of the two countries."
"Nijaifi expressed hope that bilateral meetings would result in success to consolidate the relations between both countries that began since 1947, with no flaws," the statement added, assuring that "For his part, Pakistani Speaker expressed his country's readiness to develop its relations with Iraq, asserting that there is a wide space of cooperation between the two countries."
"Nijaifi and the delegation accompanying him attended a session of Pakistan National Assembly to be acquainted with the mechanism of its work," the statement concluded. /End/
