Hakim: SIIC to endorse all laws for women, if granted legislative authority
Baghdad (Forat) –The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, assured adopting the big aims that promote the role of women in society.
In his speech during the celebration of the Islamic Anti-Violence Against Woman Day, he said "We have adopted a project for establishing a Supreme Council for Woman, a project for establishing Woman Bank that finances the Productive and Economic projects related to Woman and if we have the legislative authority we will endorse all the laws that serve woman."
"Our initiatives represent basic issues to build an indulgent society and implementing them depends on our ability in endorsing them in the legislative and executive establishments," he concluded. /End/
