Iraq participates in meetings of the OIC's Foreign Ministers Council

Baghdad (Forat) -Iraq participates in meetings of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's Foreign Ministers Council on its 40th session, currently being held in the Guinean capital, Conakry, for the period 9 to 11 December 2013.
A statement received by Alforat News Agency (Forat) cited "The Iraqi delegation is headed by Foreign Undersecretary for International Organizations Affairs, Mohammed Jawad Al Doraki. The delegation also includes Head of the International Organizations and Cooperation Department, Ambassador Ahmed Bamarni."
"The Council discusses, through its session, the challenges facing the Islamic nation in economic, political, security and humanitarian fields in addition to the important issues of common interest to the Muslim world, such as the Palestinian cause and means to support the Muslims in different countries and the promotion of joint Islamic action. More than 50 Islamic states are taking part in the session," the statement concluded. /End/
