U.S. official confirms supplying Iraq with missiles and drones

Washington / NINA /-- A U.S. official said the United States sent dozens of Hellfire Air-Land missiles to Iraq during the past few weeks confirming intention to send shipments of " Scan -Eagle " drones in the next year.
The U.S. official said that about 75 Hellfire missiles previously sent to Iraq last week before the purchase deadline.
It is noteworthy to mention in this regard that the revilement of the delivery of such military equipments to Baghdad comes after a visit to Washington made by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki where he expressed to the U.S. administration hop to obtain U.S. equipment " in order to carry out security operations in isolated areas including camps for terrorists ." / End
