New customs tariffs system to be applied soon, says official

Basra (Forat) - Iraqi ports directorate announced the new system of customs tariffs will be applied starting from the beginning of the new year, within a few days.
Anmar Abdel Moneim Safi, the director of media and public relations in Iraqi ports directorate, in Basra province, stated to Alforat News Agency "The new customs tariff issued by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, will be applied at the beginning of the first month of next 2014, on all incoming goods, through land and naval ports."
"The new customs tariff law is one important law ,that will protect the Iraqi consumer, and the national product", Safi assured./
