Twilight news/oil and Energy Committee, Saturday, they had not seen so far on the oil agreement between the Centre and the region to see if there is a breach of the Convention by the statement of the Ministry of oil.
altThe oil Ministry said in a statement obtained by "Twilight" that Kurdish oil export constitutes a violation of an agreement reached in December between the Iraqi Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government calls for the participation of experts from the two sides discuss how to export crude from the region under the auspices of the Iraqi oil marketing company SOMO.
The Rapporteur of the Committee, said Qassim Mohammed Qassim said in an interview for "Twilight", "the Committee had not seen the terms of the agreement signed between the Centre and the region to determine whether there is a breach of this agreement which has not been published even through the media."
He called Mohammed, a Deputy from the Kurdistan Alliance, "to mention the constitutional article and the number and date of the law based on the Baghdad to export oil as Kurdistan constitutional breach."
Mohammed said that the oil and gas Act legislation will identify and draw the oil powers to resolve problems outstanding between the Centre and the oil region.
Raw was Kurdish moves to world markets through the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline, which is controlled by Baghdad to Turkey but the Kurdish exports through that process stalled more than a year ago because of a dispute over payments.
Kurdistan started exporting crude independently of TEQ oil field to the Turkish port of Mersin in the early January last year via trucks.
Kurdistan is seeking to export some 300,000 barrels a day to world markets via the new line runs to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean.
Kurdistan expects to increase its production to 400,000 barrels a day this year and one million barrels per day in 2015 and 2 million barrels per day in 2019.
