Iraq offers 13 million dollars to Syria

Shafaq News / Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs , Hoshyar Zebari announced granting 13 million dollars as a new contribution to Syria.
Zebari said in the second international conference for donors to support the humanitarian situation in Syria , that " Iraq was the first since the beginning of the crisis to open its borders and receive Syrian refugees with the development of the crisis , the number was 210 thousand Syrian refugees in Iraq , so the total number of Syrian refugees in Iraq has became 250 thousand refugees . "
He added that the Iraqi government has agreed to open first humanitarian gate by opening an international gateway from Erbil airport to Qamishli airport in Syria.
"The agreement was reached with the Jordanian Red Crescent to provide treatments and medicines in Amman as it has also been agreed with Lebanon in order to defray the cost of medication and treatment in 5 of the health centers in Lebanon ."
Zebari stressed that Iraq believes that convening Geneva Conference 2 is a great opportunity to find a solution to the crisis and pursuit peace in Syria , as Iraq continues to support the implementation of Geneva terms the Syrians , demanding to address the political crisis to stop this human tragedy to enable them to return to their homes and loved ones.
