Iraqiya accuses Maliki of appropriating authority, promises to withdraw confidence

Baghdad (NINA) – Iraqiya Slate accused Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki of appropriating the authority and decision, as well as attempting to eliminate others from participating in decision making.
In a statement to NINA on Wednesday, Aug. 17, official spokesperson for Iraqiya Slate, Maysoun al-Damalouji, said that Iraqiya will work toward withdrawing confidence from Maliki and his government in a democratic way and according to political agreements between blocs in the same way Maliki became Prime Minister.
She added that in his way of appropriating the authority and eliminating others, Maliki is becoming an obsession for others, not only Iraqiya, but also for the Dawa Party too, such obsession makes other to work out political agreements working to withdraw confidence from him.
Damalouji described Maliki’s decision to name Minister of Culture, Sadoun al-Dulaimi, Acting Minister of Defence as a wrong step that makes Iraqiya to react, which will negatively effects the political process. / End.
