BAGHDAD / NINA / The presidency of the Kurdistan region confirmed that no person or party has the right to speak on behalf of the region’s president , Massoud Barzani, on the results of the meeting, which was devoted to discuss the budget with the Kurdish blocs in Parliament .
The presidency of the province said in a statement today that ” some of the participants in the meeting , which was held yesterday , have said for a number of media on behalf of the region’s president , Massoud Barzani ,” noting : “The results of the meeting have been published officially by the presidency of the Kurdistan region .”
The statement added: “The official policy of President Barzani is shown by the presidency of the region and the Presidential Office and the spokesman for the presidency of the Kurdistan region only .”
Press sources quoted the President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani as saying, during a meeting held yesterday with Kurdish lawmakers to discuss the budget crisis between the Governments of the center and the province , ” the province can stop the export of Iraqi oil through its territory to outside , in addition to the ability to use the water to pressure on Baghdad. ”
