Dohuk: a conference on the world economy and its impact on Iraq

After two days of discussions and throw Research concluded in the halls of the University of Nowruz Thursday, the tenth of April --2,014, the conference's own economic study international economic changes and their impact on the financial system in a federal Iraq with the participation of 120 specialists from universities in different Iraqi conference included throwing about 20 academic research dealt with axes economic and financial important at the level of Iraq and the Kurdistan region. Dr. Hashim Zebari, a member of the Supreme Committee supervising the organization of this conference, told Radio Free Iraq that the aim of the organization of this conference is to highlight the financial problems suffered by Iraq and how to find ways to solve these problems and reduce them, especially that Iraq is one of the rentier states that rely on oil as a principal source in the economy, so they are strongly influenced by variables international political, especially those that occurred in the Middle East. Zebari said they "will lift the recommendations they reached during this conference to the concerned authorities in the provincial government in order to take advantage of them to overcome the problems that plagued Iraq in general. " so said Dr. Thoraya Khazraji from the University of Baghdad, which participated in this conference, research on the banking reality in Iraq, explained that there are backward in the banking reality in Iraq, Izzat reason for this is the lack of trust between citizen and the local banks in addition to the system used in Iraqi banks Old and needs to make fundamental reforms so that banks can keep up with the fact the global banking. Meanwhile criticized Dr. Bassem Abdul Hadi from the University of Nowruz went Kurdistan region and Iraq to use Bmsttmaren from Turkey and neighboring countries, and said, "If we want to develop our economy in Iraq and the region should attract investors from developed countries such as Japan, Korea and Germany because these countries are able to build a real investment opportunities, such as the establishment of plants for the auto industry just as we see that the majority of investors are investment projects in the residential sector and able local investors to do so we have to attract investors from economically developed countries in order to evolve just like them. " mentions that this conference has dealt with several themes, such as how the evolution of fiscal policy and improve the banking sector and the development of the investment side in order to develop economic activity in Iraq in light of the challenges they face as a result of policy changes in the region.
