In an interview with an Iraqi satellite television station, Maliki said, “On top of my priorities is building the state with institutions that treat all equally.”
He added, “Some in the political process who have wrong ideas on building a state, some believe that the state is to be built on a sectarian or partisan principles.”
Maliki pointed out that the term of partnership is a beautiful term but partnership must be defined according to certain mechanism; what we see today is that partnership hinders many measures; it has surpassed the authorities of Parliament and the Cabinet.”
