Head of the security committee in charge of the protection of the election confirms that all airports will not be closed on polling day

BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of the security committee in charge of the protection of parliamentary elections, Maj. Gen. Majid Thabit confirmed that all airports will not be closed during the elections in 30 April.
A statement for the Interior Ministry quoted Thabit as saying today that "the security committee is not with imposing a curfew on vehicle traffic in all the provinces, or stop movements between the provinces, and this is the procedure so far, where it will be a decision based on the evolution of the security situation."
He added that "the IHEC has put a procedure to the elements of the security forces, who are fighting terrorism in Anbar to guarantee their participation in the elections normally."
