He urged the conference held under the auspices of Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh, the governor of the Iraqi Central Bank Abdul Basit Turki Saeed, and organized by "a group of Economics and Business", "foreign companies and venture capitalists in both countries, to enter the Lebanese market and Iraqi forces more effectively, in light of the efforts of the two banks central to the creation of the regulatory environment and banking encouraging it. He called for "the development of the role of banks in the banking business to improve and increase its effectiveness, through the provision of credit safe and sound investment in both countries."
He highlighted the importance of "strengthening the role of foreign investment, and benefit from the investment opportunities available in both countries for the development of infrastructure and housing sector and other priority sectors, according to investment laws in force in the two countries." He also urged "banks operating in Lebanon and Iraq, on banking cooperation and open branches and offices in both countries, and to provide credit lines mutual development of economic sectors, and the exchange of the Central Banks of the Lebanese and Iraqi experiences and expertise in banking, economic and financial, to improve the banking business and developed through the Coordinating Committee to be formed two banks. "
Also recommended to "cooperation in the field of combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism," and "urged banks operating in the two countries to abide by the rules of governance (good governance) and a commitment to the laws of the country in it, and Taamima," and "hold regular meetings in both Baghdad and Beirut," and "the formation of a joint committee of the Association of private banks in Iraq and the Association of Banks in Lebanon to follow the recommendations of the conference, and work to implement them."
