Baghdad (NINA) – *****President Jalal Talabani discussed on Monday, Aug. 22, with US Ambassador to Iraq, James Geoffrey, and Commander of American forces in Iraq, General Lloyd Austin, *****developments in Iraq’s political process, *****especially decisions reached by Iraqi leaders in their recent meeting aiming to make progress in the political process,***** as well as fulfilling the posts of ministers of Defence and Interior.*****
A statement issued by the President’s Office said that in the meeting, Talabani also discussed the Iraq-US relations and the importance to consolidate them for the benefit of both countries’ people.
