Shaways confirms that the global financial crisis did not affect Iraq

Deputy Prime Minister Ruz Nuri Shaways said on Wednesday that three are key causes to the global financial crisis, the first is the shift of the real economy to the financial economy , secondly is the absence or lack of control of central banks on the financial markets and the third is the inequalities of legendary or extremist in the distribution of income and wealth.
Shaways pointed out in a speech in the Republic of Kazakhstan Astana during the Second World Congress to combat the global financial crisis, according to a statement by his press office that the effects of the crisis were limited to Iraq and was absorbed to an end largely due to the stability of the financial resources of Iraq and the lack of investment of Iraqi funds in foreign markets.
Shaways also presented in his speech, according to the statement, an explanation of the economic reality in Iraq and the development plan for the years 2013 to 2017.
The statement noted that the meeting was attended by a number of ministers and experts and specialists from all over the world in addition to a number of consultants and general managers and businessmen as well as the Iraqi ambassador to the Republic of Iraq in Kazakhstan Rageh al-Moussawi.
