KRG: Baghdad's request for arbitration is illegal and will fail

BAGHDAD / NINA / Kurdistan Regional Government confirmed that the request for arbitration on the export of Iraqi oil from Turkey will fail .
A statement by the provincial government today , said that " the Iraqi request for arbitration to demand a halt of oil exports from the Kurdish region via Turkey , is illegal and will fail ."
The government stated that it " will continue to practice its rights in the export and sale oil independently of the (SOMO ) but still committed to negotiating with Baghdad , in order to reach a final solution to the issue of oil in the framework of the Iraqi constitution ."
The oil ministry filed a case of arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris on Friday and also targeted the National Turkish pipeline company / Botas / for its role in facilitating the export of oil from Kurdistan without the approval of the federal government in Baghdad
