BAGHDAD / NINA / Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki described on Tuesday the exporting of oil by Kurdistan region without coordination with Baghdad is closer to the theft than to the buying and selling process.
al-Maliki said during a meeting with the heads of missions of foreign countries operating in Baghdad, that the government has worked to hold the parliamentary elections as schedule and it has succeeded in it and supported the Electoral Commission for elections and enabled them to perform their duty professionally and with full transparency.
The Prime Minister thanked all States that have coalesced with the Iraqis and congratulated the success of the elections.
He outlined that they launched since the beginning an initiative to form a majority government that includes all components of the Iraqi people, and that this was the result of our experience in previous years, with government of participation that has turned into a government of quotas that is not been able to provide the necessary works and services for all citizens.
He stressed that "the next stage should be focused on the completion of the state institutions of the establishment of the Federal Council and the Supreme Council for oil, gas and other institutions that directly affect the country's stability and prosperity, calling on the next House of Representatives to " focus on legislation strategy, such as the oil and gas law structures and other infrastructure.
