The Secretary-General of the United Nations called for international solidarity with Iraq

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, on the international community to close ranks behind the aggression against Iraq of terrorists daash.
Spokesman Stephane dujarric, the Secretary-General said in a statement his disciple "time", "the Secretary General urges the international community to close ranks to express solidarity with Iraq, which faces a serious challenge in terms of security."
He said he "strongly condemns the escalation of violence in Iraq (by) terrorist groups such as the Islamic State in Iraq, Syria, which controlled Mosul, Baiji and Tikrit wetoskhrmato."
The Secretary-General also called for "respect for international humanitarian law and human rights, steps to deal with terrorism and violence in Iraq."
It was considered that "terrorism cannot be defeated by the road to democracy, the will of the Iraqi people."
The United States promised Wednesday to help Iraq, including military, to counter extremist terrorists attack after two and a half years from the withdrawal of its troops from Iraq.
On the other hand, the Security Council will hold a meeting Thursday to discuss the situation in Iraq, diplomats said Wednesday.
Will the Security Council meeting, which will be closed at 11, 30 (15, 30). Presentations will be made during the meeting, the United Nations Envoy to Iraq, Nikolai Mladenov.
