*****“We appeal the Iraqi Government, Parliament, the people and all civil community organizations to push for the halt of these attacks on our regions which are regarded as an aggression by a neighboring country against a country member of the United Nations. We call as well on the international community to pressure Turkey in order to stop raids on our safe regions”, Kirkuki said noting however that the Iraqi Government which we are partners therein is acting in this regard, yet, we need it to deploy further efforts”, he said. *****
“All parties in Kurdistan Parliament whether in opposition or in power are against aggressions on Kurdistan and are working day and night to curb the offensive”, Kirkuki uttered.
“We oppose using Kurdistan territories to launch attacks against neighboring countries. These are just pretexts because such operations are not easy and require months to be operated”, he argued.
“Iraq is surely not in a position to counterattack. That’s why, we should resort to other countries that have a role in halting these aggressions”, Kurdistan speaker concluded.
