Khelil said that "these forces will remain in Kirkuk to protect them from organizations and terrorist groups," noting that "the majority of the residents of these areas of the Kurdish component and prefer to stay Peshmerga to protect them from terrorism rather than the Iraqi army."
He Khalil said that "the disputed areas inhabited mainly Kurdish talking back to the Peshmerga forces to protect them brought their areas to Kurdistan as stipulated by the Constitution."
