The Director of Public Debt Department in the Ministry of Finance Muwafaq Taha Izz al-Din, said that his ministry will launch in the coming days, a campaign of intense negotiations with the countries of Poland, Turkey, Brazil, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates and Morocco, noting that these eight countries refuse to settle their debts with Iraq, according to the Paris Club agreement .
Izz al-Din said in a statement seen by the Agency for News News (et) that "the ministry is working to persuade these countries to resolve to exchange debt owed by Iraq, in the form of premiums."
And the Paris Club decided to write off Iraq's debt in 2004, after he entered into a creditor countries are members of the club more than 343 convention on 77 city-state since 1956, while the total debt covered in these agreements to $ 389 billion, since 1983.
