United Nations «welcomes» choosing Abadi prime minister of Iraq
Welcomed UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to nominate a new prime minister in Iraq and called for calm in the country, is regarded as the prime minister of the outgoing Nuri al-Maliki that he has the right to a third term.
Ban said Haider Abadi, a matching set of the Iraqi Constitution and represents "a step forward towards the formation of a government in Iraq" who seized Sunni jihadists in the organization of the Islamic state, some regions in the north and west.
A statement issued by his spokesman that the Secretary-General of the United Nations "urgently appeals to all political parties and their supporters to maintain calm and respect for the political process under the Constitution."
Seeks Maliki, who holds the post of prime minister since 2006 to remain in power despite sharp criticism by accusing him of authoritarian tendency and sectarian politics.
