Arbil, 29 August / August (Rn) – The head of the Kurdistan Alliance bloc in the Iraqi Council of Representatives on Monday, is scheduled to resume Iraqi leaders meeting at the invitation of President Jalal Talabani at his home after Eid al-Fitr next, in order to end the political crisis in the country.
He told Fuad Masum, the Kurdish news agency (Rn) today, “is scheduled to hold a meeting of political leaders of the new home of Talabani and at his invitation after the Eid al-Fitr holiday, aimed at ending the political crisis and address the problems of the country.”
He said, “is scheduled to attend all political leaders in Iraq is expected to meet after the holiday, led by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, the Iraqi leader Ayad Allawi.”
Masum said that “he has not yet been set on the upcoming meeting, because the majority of leaders to travel abroad on holiday, Eid al-Fitr, but preparations have been going now for the meeting.”
He pointed out that “we can not expect any results of the meeting is expected, however, the meetings of leaders of political blocs, the former resulted in positive results.”
The leaders of political blocs have held on Tuesday (2 Aug.), held a meeting at the home of President Jalal Talabani, the presence of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, and the House of Osama Najafi, and the Iraqi leader Ayad Allawi.
And reached the political blocs in the meeting, according to a statement the presidency, to agree to set up a ministerial committee based the results of talks agreement Erbil to agree on the rules of procedure of the Council of Ministers also agreed to be the passage of the National Council for the policies of the Supreme, which is expected to be headed by the leader of the Iraqi List Ayad Allawi, in the House of Representatives after the submission by the President of the Republic.
And spin differences between the Iraqi List and the National Alliance on some of the terms of the Erbil, including the draft Law on the Council strategy policies and higher, and most important of these differences mechanism of selection of the President of the Council, as the demands of the Iraqi List to be the mechanism of choice in the House of Representatives, which rejected the National Alliance and demanded to be within the body that are within the National Council for strategic policy and status enjoyed by the person who chairs the Council’s powers and whether it would be described as general secretary or president.
