Iraq's new government was voted

The Iraqi Parliament approved tonight during a crucial vote a new government headed by Haidar al-Abadi, but the portfolios of Interior and Defense have not been filled as the country faces a rapid offensive jihadists of the Islamic state .
Mr. Abadi, appointed on August 11 to form a unity government, asked Parliament within a week to allocate vacancies, including the Interior and Defense. Meanwhile it is himself who will serve as interim.
