News on the nomination of Hassani to fill the defense portfolio

BAGHDAD - ((eighth day))
According to a source familiar with the Iraqi forces within the alliance that put the name of the coalition member, Hassani, a candidate to take over the Department of Defense rather than the candidates and Khaled Jaber al-Jabri al-Obeidi,
who did not get on them agree with other political parties within the coalition forces.
The source said that "put the name of al-Hassani to take over as defense minister, came as a consensus candidate among the candidates, Rafie al-Issawi and Osama Najafi within the coalition forces."
It is said that, Hassani, a Turkmen originally from Kirkuk province, and holds American citizenship, has served as president of the National Assembly, representing the mass of Iraqis with former President Ghazi al-Yawar,
also was a member of the House of Representatives of the previous session as an independent part of the coalition of state law.
