Kurdistan signed a memorandum of understanding with Belarus

Kurdistan Region announced the formation of a joint commission by the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the province, and the signing of a joint memorandum of understanding between the two sides.
A statement from the presidency of the Kurdistan Regional Government said that "the aim of developing cooperation and coordination and strengthen bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Belarus, visited Vladimir MacKay, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and his accompanying delegation of the Kurdistan Region, and was greeted by Barzani Prime Minister province Krodstan and Qobad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister and a number of ministers in the Kurdistan Regional Government. During the meeting, according to the statement the exchange of views and opinions on a range of issues of mutual interest, the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Belarus, also discussed the mechanism of joint coordination between the two parties.
He announced the signing of a joint memorandum of understanding between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Republic of Belarus, in the interest of both parties in the fields of industrial, agricultural, energy, information technology and higher education.
The memo pointed out work to create the conditions for the launch of direct flights between Erbil and Minsk, which would enhance trade and tourism, as the memo pointed to coordination between the Republic of Belarus and the Kurdistan region to urge and encourage the private sector and the public.
In this same context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Belarusian official invitation to the Kurdistan Regional Government to send a delegation to visit Ravi level of the Republic of Belarus in order to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides.
