Iran signed a memorandum of understanding with Syria for processing gas through Iraq

Reported news agency Mehr semi-official Iranian official as saying that Iran has signed Monday a memorandum of understanding to supply Syria with gas through the territory of Iraq. The head of the National Gas Company of Iran Javad Ogi, according to Reuters, which quoted the news, "the signing of this MOU is expected to be formed in less than a month three working groups a common legal, financial and technical to sign a gas-finals. "
Iran has said the pipeline, estimated its cost ten billion dollars will be opened within three to five years.
The country currently produces 600 million cubic meters of gas per day of which 37 million cubic meters are exported.
Iran says it is the completion of twenty-four stages of the South Pars field, the gas production will reach 1.2 billion cubic meters including 250 million cubic meters will be exported. Iran's ambition to expand in the export of gas, particularly to Europe, but while Iran has the second largest gas reserves in the world except that net exports are still limited for reasons of international sanctions.
