Statement
Range newspaper published on Sunday, 16/11/2014 Akhirtha Today column titled (what we see and hear in the Parliament) in which he accused the writer in the House of Representatives delayed follow-up to the repercussions of the events in Mosul. We are in a time of stress in which the respect for freedom of opinion and expression that contribute to building a new Iraq, we would like to draw the attention of fellow author of the article to a set of facts that death addressed in his column, which is that the House of Representatives continued since the first moments of the crisis, Mosul and its aftermath and repercussions of the situation there through several measures:
• On 13/6 House of Representatives called for an extraordinary session to discuss the situation in Mosul.
• On 22/7 Mr. Saleem al-Jubouri, head of the House of Representatives said in his first press conference after assuming his condemnation of what happened in Mosul and work to address the situation there.
• At the meeting, which was held on 5/8 Council discussed the situation of displaced persons.
• At the meeting, which was held on 7/8 Council voted to consider the risks to religious and ethnic minorities genocide.
• The House voted in its meeting held on 10/8 recommendations of the Special Committee on the situations of the displaced.
• The Council discussed at its meeting held on 19/8 and its meeting held on 21/8 and its meeting held on 25/8 crisis displaced after the events of Mosul.
• Council discussed at its meeting on 23/8 Spyker base massacre in the wake of the events of what happened in Mosul and in the presence of security leaders as Mr. Saleem al-Jubouri, head of the House of Representatives met on 2/9 with a delegation of the families of the victims while the Council discussed at its meeting on 3/9 massacre Spyker presence security leaders and families of the victims.
• At the meeting, which was held on 20/9 hosted by the House of Representatives, Mr. Saleh al-Mutlaq, Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs to discuss the procedures for the displaced after the events of Mosul.
• At the meeting, which was held on 18/10 Council discussed the security file in the whole country and the repercussions of what happened in Nineveh province and a number of cities by hosting Mr. Haider Abadi, head of the Council of Ministers.
• At the meeting, which was held on 20/10 Council discussed a report on the situation of displaced people in the voice of a hearing held on 1/11 on the recommendations of the Special Parliamentary Committee on the situations of the displaced.
In conclusion, we wish to colleagues in the media to verify the information that they would like addressed in the media and their means of communication with the real sources and have in this regard we express our readiness permanent and full cooperation with colleagues of journalists and media in order to transfer the facts in all transparency.
