Relations Committee discussed a number of draft laws and elected Rapporteur of the Committee
Foreign Relations Committee held its usual eighth day Sunday, 11/16/2014, headed by MP Hassan Chuird Chairman of the Committee and a majority of the members.
The meeting elected MP Iqbal Abdul Hussein al-Rapporteur of the Committee and to postpone the election of the Deputy Chairman of the Committee to the next meeting.
The meeting discussed the laws listed in the agenda, as the Chairman of the Committee for the formation of committees of members in the jurisdiction of the laws and make observations for the purpose of study and put forward at the next meeting.
Projects laws that are put forward:
- The ratification of the draft amended Convention Arab cooperation in the field of organization and conduct relief operations law.
- Draft law on ratification investment promotion and protection between the Republic of Iraq and the government of the Hashemite Kingdom Alardana Convention on the Law.
- Draft law on ratification of the Convention between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the State of Kuwait to encourage mutual investment protection law.
The head of the Committee to prepare a working paper containing proposals concerning the rules of procedure of the Commission's work, and also discussed a request to meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs and agents to communicate and know the country's foreign policy.
The meeting came out with several recommendations, including the representation of the Commission in the delegations that will ensure the success of Iraq's foreign policy and a proposal to invite the heads of research and scientific centers in Iraq for the purpose of determining the needs of the country in terms of cultural exchange with the developed countries.
