Abadi: our economy is suffering from money laundering offences

Prime Minister Haider Abadi, the Iraqi Central Bank to tighten its controls on foreign exchange to end the phenomenon of money laundering and corruption prevention. He said "there is wide latitude for external conversion until the restrictions and control have faded in time, hence the role of the Central Bank to control the foreign exchange which may result in the phenomenon of money laundering which in turn breed corruption, terrorism and organized crime, proactively and not intrusive."
Abadi said the "public-private partnership is one of the main pillars of the Government's programme, under which the Government was formed," he said, adding "the partnership is not slogans but is the application, and the Government is applying the principle of partnership, particularly in the banking sector."
He stressed that "the country is facing challenges on several levels, most notably the terrorism that we face with full force and managed to transfer his case from a struggle to get him out of Iraq," Noting that "there are more sacrifices that must be made to eradicate the terrorist organization daash possesses great victory the criminal will not be easy without making those sacrifices."
He continued, "among other challenges facing the country is the reconstruction of areas experiencing stable security as Baghdad that were hazard and defense and the dimensions of the current war, and the southern provinces which have major security stability, and this will not be achieved without the support of investment."
And "there is a further challenge is the reconstruction of the areas freed from terrorism and requiring immense possibilities, what creates great opportunities for the private sector and investment companies", calling on the private sector to be a partner in Government but is independent and exists in various countries of the world. "
Abbadi noted that "the Government is currently working on legislation which will provide the bank guarantee law to the Parliament for approval, in addition to working to create/base/investment bank which is funded and supported by the State but operated by it".
He said that Iraq needed a broad reformist movement at various levels, and will be working out easy but painful and have fun at the same time that its success will serve citizens greatly ".
"The Government is the Government curriculum in accordance with the specific constitutional terms, whereby the implementation of the platform after about 3 months of its formation, and is currently working on the implementation of the remainder of the period specified by/6/months."
