Official: Baghdad, Erbil agreement addresses the deficit in the Iraqi general budget
MP for the citizen Bloc Hashem al-Moussawi said Thursday that "the agreement, which was held between the center and the region flows into the general budget money, which is working to address the shortfall in it."
Moussawi said in a statement (newspaper integrity) said, "This agreement is a complementary process for the initial agreement and included a formal agreement and the legal framework to guarantee the rights center and the region alike so that it is clear and explicit law serves all parties and is a state of crisis and cramping between the political parties."
He continued, saying, "In my opinion, this agreement is useful to the Iraqi state in the light of this critical and emergency conditions from where we need to supplement the general budget money that Iraqi oil exports, which in turn will be given the flexibility of the current government and ministries to provide what can be provided for the citizens and children of serving the people in general."
The "Council of Ministers decided in its meeting held last Tuesday, to approve the agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, which was attended by the Prime Minister of the Federal Haider Abadi and President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani, which stipulates that the Iraqi oil belongs to all Iraqis, and the Kurdistan region to hand over at least 250 000 barrels of oil per day to the federal government for the purpose of export.
As Dr. Adel Abdul-Mahdi earlier that "Baghdad and Erbil reached during the talks to resolve the problems between the two sides and the allocation of 250 thousand barrels of the region to the center and that is the allocation of ground troops to the region guards and Peshmerga forces according to population ratio and put the necessary mechanisms and resolve all urgent problems to establish a correct relationship in accordance with the principles of partnership.
