Nujaifi discussed with the Kuwaiti Ambassador the political and security situation in Iraq and the region
BAGHDAD / NINA / Vice- President Osama Nujaifi discussed on Monday with the Kuwaiti ambassador to Iraq, Ghassan Yousif Zouawi the brotherly relations between Iraq and Kuwait and ways of developing them to serve the two brotherly peoples, and increasing the ability to confront the terrorist challenges.
A statement by his Media Office quoted al- Nujaifi as saying that Iraq in these circumstances, is facing a fierce challenge represented by the IS organization, and it is in a comprehensive confrontation with terrorism, and looking forward to the support of the international community, especially our brotherly states.
He added that Iraq as it is assessing the assistance provided by the State of Kuwait, is waiting for more support in order to cleanse every Iraqi inch and thus provides a service to humanity in the elimination of the terrorist organization.
For his part, al-Zouawi expressed his support for the vision of Najaifi, pointing out that the integrity of Iraq represents the national security of Kuwait as well, according to the statement.
The statement said that during the meeting they also discussed the political and security situation in Iraq and the region.
