Abadi discusses with German Chancellor political and security situation in Iraq and the region

Baghdad / NINA /– Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi discussed in a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel political and security situation in Iraq and the region as well as the current challenges faced by the region to eliminate Daash and all terrorist groups.
A statement by his press office said: “Prime minister received today a phone call from German Chancellor Angela Merkel during which the German Chancellor invited Abadi to attend the meeting of the big seven countries, which will be held in Germany, noting that the invitation represents the support of the seven countries to Iraq in facing terrorism and the preservation of its territorial integrity and sovereignty of Iraq.
