Halawani confirms Jordan's keenness to support and assist Iraq in all fields

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Dr. Hatem Halawani Jordan's keenness under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II on strengthening bilateral cooperation with Iraq in all fields, and put all the capabilities and expertise possible service in Iraq, especially in the economic aspects.
He d. Halawani during a meeting yesterday and an Iraqi delegation from the public and private sectors currently visiting Jordan within a training program for accession to the WTO negotiation processes that relations between Jordan and Iraq distinguished in various fields and come back for decades, noting that cooperation between the two countries, the development is located in the heart of the policies of Jordan and strategies working on the basis of which the government based on the royal directives.
He pointed out that Iraq is a strategic partner to Jordan, where a large part of the national exports go to the Iraqi market in addition to the presence of a large number of Iraqi investments in the Kingdom.
Minister Halawani and expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Supply and all ministries and government institutions to offer all possible forms of support to the Iraqi side and that all Jordanian expertise available to Iraqi brothers, including negotiation processes on joining the World Trade Organization and other agreements.
The minister referred to the recent visit of Iraqi Prime Minister of Jordan, which resulted in the many important results in terms of increased bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic field.
He said that this visit reflects the strength of relations between the two countries and that Jordan always stands with Iraq and is keen on development and address the problems faced by pointing out that the agreements signed between the two sides, most recently the Iraqi Council of Representatives agreement for the protection and promotion of investments agreement agreements will contribute to increase economic cooperation.
He d. Halawani that the Iraqis are always welcome in Jordan, including investors and businessmen who make up a significant share of the total existing investments in Jordan.
For Jordan's accession to the World Trade Organization, the minister said that he was important and reflected positively on the increase of national exports, which have doubled over 6 times since the kingdom became a member of the World Trade Organization as well as the development of local products and attract investments and other although there are some challenges, but the benefits far greater .
And the price of the Iraqi delegation Jordanian position supporting Iraq, as well as extensive expertise and task set by the government in the Iraqi authorities competent service.
They noted that their presence in the Jordan reflects the robustness of the bilateral relations and the evidence of the Kingdom's keenness to support Iraq and to provide expertise in all his actions.
