Violent clashes break out between security forces and ISIS north of Samarra

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) A security source in Salahuddin province announced Thursday, that violent clashes broke out between the Iraqi security forces and elements of the ISIS organization north of Samarra, referring to the casualties on both sides.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Violent clashes broke out between the Iraqi security forces backed by the militia and elements from the ISIS organization in Mkeshifah area north of Samarra (40 km south of Tikrit).”
The source added “There are deaths and injuries on both sides,” noting that, “The fighting is still ongoing until now.”
A security source in Salahuddin province said earlier on Thursday that a number of people had been killed and wounded killed in the fall of mortar shells followed by four suicide bombings in Samarra, while some schools decided to close on the background of these events.
