Tremendous opportunity for foreign investors in Iraq, says Ambassador

Baghdad (AIN) -With political stability, Iraq is now ready to receive foreign investors who are keen to participate in its huge nation re-building exercise, says the Iraqi Ambassador to Malaysia Prof. Dr. Basim Hattab Al-Tumma. He said in statement reviewed by AIN "There were tremendous opportunities for Malaysian companies in the field of oil and gas exploration, infrastructure development, commodity trading, halal food and other consumer items. "Iraq was looking forward to Malaysia, a "brotherly Muslim country", to assist in its re-development efforts," Dr Basim assured. The Malaysian oil giant, Petronas, is already in Iraq and the envoy hoped that more companies would follow suit, he continued./End/
