Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi: Iraq will become the first five States in the areas of oil and gas

Oil Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, Tuesday, that his Ministry was in the process of developing energy sources and seeking to attract investment in the comprehensive development plan, and he noted that Iraq will increase oil and gas reserves to become first in five areas.
Abdul-Mahdi said in a statement that "Iraq has a great wealth of oil and gas, was one of the first Arabic oil-producing in the 1920s", noting that "the oil Ministry is to develop energy sources and seeking to attract investment in the comprehensive development plan in cooperation with many countries and institutions and global companies"
He said that "Iraq will increase oil and gas reserves to become first in five States," stressing that "it is hoped that Iraq stays as most States depend upon the world to provide important sources of energy than oil."
The oil Minister said Iraq is considering developing other sources of new and renewable energy, "he said, adding that" new and alternative energy sources such as solar, wind and other growing and will occupy in tomorrow's world. "
