Transport: the agreement with a French company to equip Iraq with electric trains

Ministry of transport announced, Saturday, in agreement with the French Alstom bid final processing of Iraq 10 metros by payment or financing through concessional loans.
According to a statement of the information Office of the Ministry received/information/copy that "a delegation from the Ministry of transport met with the Executive of the French manufacturer Alstom trains and the delegation was received by Director General Christian Thomas, who gave a detailed explanation on the reality of the company and the possibilities that could be made by the company to meet the needs of Iraq from ALSTOM trains."
It was agreed at the meeting that the company submit final offers for the first phase of the project extends from Baghdad to Karbala and includes the processing of ten minimum electric commuter trains in addition to creating plants and workshops for maintenance of these trains in Iraq that is the method of payment or financing through concessional loans ".
