Qatar looking to invest in the areas of oil and gas in Iraq

The Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, for his Iraqi Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, his country's readiness to enter as investors in the energy fields of Iraq. He Gentlemen: the new political environment in Iraq, we are encouraged to enter as investors in the areas of oil and gas, stressing welcomed the new horizon of cooperation between his country and Iraq. He added: Our doors are open to our Iraqi brothers, and optimistic about the future of bilateral cooperation. For his part, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, who is accompanying President Fuad Masum, on an official visit to Qatar, to the positive role expected of the State of Qatar, calling to take steps towards supporting Iraq and re-open its embassy in Baghdad. Abdul-Mahdi held on Wednesday with the Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar, Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, held official talks on bilateral relations, and agreed to study the development of cooperation in the field of oil between the two countries. The talks dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest in regional and international issues and exchange views on them.
