A statement by the Presidency of the Kurdistan region that the delegation offer a detailed report on the discussions highlighted what has been discussed, in addition to the financial crisis in the Kurdistan Region.
The statement pointed out that Barzani stressed the need for continued dialogue between Baghdad and Erbil down to find solutions to problems.
The delegation was headed by the Kurdish Barzani visited Baghdad and met with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Barzani announced his return to the region that there is a lack of financial revenues owed to the province under the oil agreement signed with the Iraqi government because of a financial crisis in Baghdad.
He added in a press conference in Arbil, the capital of the province that his government struck a deal with the state is in the original bankrupt, he said, adding that under the agreement, it is assumed that the province of Kurdistan gets monthly trillion and two hundred billion dinars from Baghdad per month, the equivalent of one billion dollars.
He said if the province exported 550 000 barrels per day, Baghdad can not give Arbil amounts due, considering that Iraq is facing a big financial problem.
Barzani confirmed that the parties are committed to the application of the agreement, noting that the problem is that the Iraqi government has no money to give to the region, and currently there is no sense of the Convention that took place.
