According to a statement of the bank that TCP is in line with the efforts of the Government of the Territory in the preparation of a comprehensive system of social protection, and contribute to achieving the objectives of the Government's vision and mission to provide freedom, health, social welfare, economic security, and job opportunities for the citizens of the region.
The statement said the program was launched (yesterday) following the signing of four agreements for technical assistance with the World Bank Group in November 2014, under the auspices of the Minister of Planning Ali Sindi, and the presence of a number of government officials, representatives of civil society, parliamentarians, as well as experts from international organizations.
He added that the minister Sindi expressed his delight in taking advantage of the World Bank's experience in promoting social protection systems in the Kurdistan region, indicating that the Bank will provide support to the Government of the Territory for the purpose of achieving the goals set in its Vision 2020.
He said the discussions focused on the different stages of the program, including the timeframe and operational arrangements, alluding to shed light on the global and regional trends of social protection systems, with an emphasis on how it relates to the local context in the Kurdistan Region.
The statement explained that the workshop ever seen a constructive discussions among the participants about the program and its relevance to the situation in the region.

He stated that the present witness preparation for the formation of a steering committee comprising several ministries for the purpose of directing work to ensure the implementation of activities to meet the technical cooperation program requirements and in accordance with the vision of the Kurdistan Regional Government for 2020, and oversee the work of art collections and the preservation of open between all major institutions communication channels for coordination purposes and data exchange.
