Moscow warns against a "military adventure" in Syria

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the chance of a peaceful settlement and for the Syrian crisis remained, however, very bleak future awaits the country in case of "any military adventure" in them.
Lavrov said in a speech at the Russian Diplomatic Academy Friday 27 February that "if not hindered this (peaceful settlement on the basis of an internal political dialogue), and if not look for justification for the use of force against the Syrian regime, or worse, a provocation to make an excuse, I think we have a chance to process (settling) slow but getting stronger."
The Minister added: "in the event of any military adventure it is waiting for Syria's future very sad."
Lavrov said that the United States refused dialogue with Damascus on combating organized Islamic State pays to speculate that the strikes could affect future not only terrorists, noting that US-led coalition did not notify authorities in advance about plans for air strikes on the territory of Syria, explaining that Bashar Al-Assad's Government illegitimate.

Regarding the Syria talks, Lavrov said Russia is counting on the participation of a greater number of opposition forces during the next meeting between the opposition and the Government in Moscow.
And declared: "we have now to meet the latest count on the participation of representatives from a larger number of opposition groups, and (count) as well as to strengthen our joint work with regional countries including Egypt which also works actively on the issue of strengthening the constructive attitudes of opponents" the Syrians.
Lavrov may meet Mistura in March and the Syrian meeting in Moscow in April
Told Gennady Gatilov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov may meet special UN Envoy Staffan de Mistura in Syria March 2 next to the margins of the session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, 28.
Lucas did not mention a possible agenda for the meeting, saying only that he "will exchange views on the first round of consultations, which took place in Moscow."
The Russian diplomat pointed out that the second round could take place in April next year, "according to the evolution of the situation."
