Jaafari heading to Geneva to represent Iraq in the Conference on Disarmament

Went to Geneva, Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari to represent Iraq in the CD. Jaafari said in a press statement that "Iraq is in favor of nuclear disarmament of all countries", pointing to the need for "concerted efforts to save humanity from this deadly weapon." He called on "to use nuclear energy for peaceful and humanitarian purposes," adding that "we will invest this opportunity to express our opinion of Iraq with all the clarity and strength. He will meet on the sidelines of the conference Jaafari with his counterparts to discuss common issues between Iraq and other countries and especially the number of officials participating in the conference states have delivered the desire to meet with him.
