Jaafari Represents Iraq In Disarmament Conference In Geneva

BAGHDAD / NINA / Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari headed to Geneva to represent Iraq in the disarmament conference (CD).
Jaafari said in a press statement that Iraq supports nuclear disarmament of all countries, pointing to the need to combine efforts to save humanity from this deadly weapon.
He called “to use nuclear energy for peaceful and humanitarian purposes, adding that “we will invest this opportunity to express Iraq’s opinion clearly and straightly.
Jaafari will meet, on the sidelines of the conference, according to a statement his office, “with his counterparts to discuss common issues between Iraq and other countries, especially a number of officials participating in the conference have deliver desire to meet him.
