Avadedo Finance Committee parliamentary Ahmed Sarhan, Thursday, that the process of borrowing from the International Monetary Fund, is one of the functions of the federal government exclusively, noting that the executive branch is competent to implement the provisions of the General Budget Law. Said Ahmed told all of Iraq [where] that "the House of Representatives task on the budget ended when the vote on the law, especially after ratified by the president and published in the Iraqi Gazette", adding that "borrowing task of the IMF is an important Council of Ministers", pointing out that "the task of the parliament is to vote on censorship and laws only." It is noteworthy that Iraq has the largest oil reserves in the world's fourth, is estimated at 143.1 billion barrels, depends on oil revenues to fund nearly 95 per cent of budget income, however, oil prices have fallen to half their prices last June to about $ 55 a barrel .
