The head of the Syndicate of Jordanian trucks Mohamed Khair Al-Dawood, Sunday, that the transport sector in the country suffered losses estimated B211 million dollars because of the situation in Iraq.

He added, "The shipping sector most affected by the closure of the border sectors and every day that passes increases the losses of investors in it," adding that "the 4500 Jordanian semi truck parked currently out of work because of the region disorders particularly what is happening in Iraq and Syria."
Daoud and pointed out that the "road transport of goods and passenger traffic between Jordan and Syria are still fully parked for the fourth consecutive day because of the Jordanian government's decision to shut down in the wake of the Syrian opposition control of the Syrian share crossing towards Jordan."
