Kurdistan Parliament approves the draft constitution to prepare for the Referendum Law

Twilight News / Kurdistan Parliament endorsed the draft constitution of the region to prepare for the referendum law and the formation of a committee of 21 members to prepare a draft.
Parliament voted a majority on the bill where he received 77 votes from members of parliament.
At a news conference after ending the session parliament speaker Mohammed Yusuf said "the ratification of this bill is the first step to reach a national consensus on the constitution of the Kurdistan Region and write a constitution in line with the current and future situation of Kurdistan."
He added: "There is a strong will among the parliamentary blocs and political parties in the region to hold discussions and reach an agreement for ratification of the constitution of the region in parliament and then put to a referendum."
