Qubad Talabani: Kurdistan region needs urgent aid

Qubad Talabani Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government met yesterday in Erbil, with the French ambassador in Iraq Mr. Mark Barrette and the French consul in Kurdistan. At the meeting which was attended by Falah Mustafa Head of the Foreign Affairs Department in the Kurdistan Regional Government, the two sides stressed the importance of promoting and strengthening the economic, political and military relations between the Kurdistan Region and France. The French ambassador said that the so called the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant represents a threat to the whole world, so more international coordination is required to confront terrorism.
For his part, Talabani praised the role of France and its support for the Kurdistan Region in military and humanitarian fields. The KRG Deputy Prime Minister stressed that Kurdistan Region needs urgent aid especially in the economic and humanitarian fields.
